TRAVEL BETWEEN: 1 January 2021 - 30 June 2022
3 days including Victoria Falls, Victoria Falls National Park, Zambezi River and Zambezi National Park
The Victoria Falls is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. David Livingstone was the first European to visit the Falls, and named it after Queen Victoria. To the locals, it is known as “Mosi oa Tunya”– The Smoke that Thunders – an accurate description of what happens when the water of the Zambezi River plunge over the 1700 metre wide and 100 metre deep chasm, creating a shower of spray and a deafening noise.
Day 1: After check-in at your hotel you will embark on a guided tour of the spectacular Victoria Falls, stopping at numerous viewing points. That evening, dinner will be enjoyed at the Boma Restaurant where you will experience the warmth and hospitality of Zimbabwe and its people. A range of traditional dishes and a barbeque buffet are on offer. More adventurous guests have the opportunity to sample local delicacies like Mopani worms.
Day 2: Today you have free time to enjoy optional activities (not included) such as helicopter flips over the Falls, elephant back safaris and lion walks. At around sunset you will enjoy a boat cruise on the Zambezi River upstream towards the Zambezi National Park. You will pass through lush riverine vegetation, and in the drier months you might be lucky enough to spot elephants and antelope grazing on the riverbanks.
Day 3: Transfer back to the Vic Falls Airport.
